Privacy policy
This page explains what personal information Purple Peaks Limited collects, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We follow the Privacy Act 2020. Last updated 21 September 2026.
What we collect
When you contact us through the website, by email or through social media, we collect your name, your email address, your phone number if you give it, and whatever you tell us about the work you want done.
When we do a job for you we also hold the address of the property, the files we shoot or build, and our invoices to you.
If you have asked us to be administrator on your own accounts, such as your website, your listings or your advertising, we can see the information in them. That information stays yours and stays in your accounts. We do not copy it to our own systems.
Why we collect it
To answer your enquiry, quote for the work, do the work, deliver the files, invoice you, and keep the records the Inland Revenue requires us to keep.
We do not sell your information and we do not give it to anyone else for their marketing.
Who else sees it
We use ordinary business tools to run the company, including email, cloud storage, accounting software and file delivery. Those providers hold the information on our behalf and only for that purpose.
If we ever have to disclose something because the law requires it, we will.
Cookies
This website uses only the cookies Wix needs to display the site and keep it working. We do not run advertising trackers on it.
Photographs of property
When we photograph a property we are usually working for the owner or their agent, and the images are used to market that property. We do not photograph people. If a person appears in a shot by accident and you would rather they did not, tell us and we will remove or edit the image.
How long we keep things
Delivered photo and video files are kept for twelve months, then deleted, so please keep your own copy. Invoices and the records that go with them are kept for seven years because tax law requires it. Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted once they are clearly not going anywhere.
Keeping it safe
Our accounts have multi factor authentication on them, our devices are encrypted, and access to anything of yours is limited to the people doing the work, which is the two of us.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Email hello@purplepeaks.co.nz and we will come back to you within twenty working days, which is the timeframe the Privacy Act sets.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
